Pilates is a method of exercise that engages the mind and conditions the total body. It is a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training that improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up. Pilates works several muscle groups simultaneously through smooth, continuous motion, with a particular concentration on strengthening and stabilizing the core (the abdomen, back and pelvic girdle region, sometimes referred to as the "powerhouse"). Different equipment, such as small and big balls, rollers and circles, can be used in workouts.

Mums and babies

Mums and babies is an energetic full body workout designed specifically to shed baby's kilos and tone your body. During the classes babies are included in the workouts. Training classes use elements of Total Body Workout, boxing, Pilates, yoga and stretching exercises. Mums and babies classes are recommended to mums 2 months after giving birth. Mums are asked to bring a big towel, baby's favourite toy and change clothes and a bottle of water for themselves.

Fat burning

Fat Burning program is aimed to burn body fats through aerobic workouts. Classes are built up on simple choreography, but at same time they are intensive and interesting, lasting 45-50 min. Different additional tools can be used, such as big/small balls, rubbers, and benches.

Body creator

Fit body

Total body classes will wake your body up with different workouts and stretching exercises. This class is perfect for feeling the burn and seeing some great results, especially in those hard to tone areas, such as tights, abdomen, breasts and back. Total body classes focus on smaller muscle groups and elongating these as opposed to bulking the bigger muscles. Different additional tools are used in the classes  .

Stretching

Stretching classes consist of gentle stretches and strengthening moves for the muscles of the back, shoulders, legs, low back and abdominals, with attentiveness to beginner and advanced levels of flexibility. Stretches flow one into the other, with variations in that create new angles of freedom and openness in movement. Most stretches are done sitting or lying, some standing. For maximum benefit, participants are encouraged to calmly pause with each stretch and find their own rhythm as each person's body responds according to its own movement history.

Yoga

Yoga is a form of gentle exercise employing precision exercises, breathing and relaxation as a means of enhancing the union of the mind and the body. Yoga tones muscles, increases flexibility, stimulates the nervous system and helps to correct postural imbalances. The Studio Maxi Dance offers two yoga styles:

Pranajama yoga is an ancient practice concerned with breath control. In the yoga tradition, the breath is said to carry a person's life force. Prana means life force or breath sustaining the body; Ayama translates as to extend or draw out. Together two mean breath extension or control.

Hatha yoga - Hatha means willpower, and it refers to a disciplined practice and behaviour using willpower and energy. Hatha yoga is the path of practice and purification - internal, as well as external. It is therefore an additional yoga path to the four traditional paths. Regular practice of these exercises requires willpower and discipline and that is why this path is called Hatha yoga
